Ugh... I committed a huge parent fail. I jumped the gun on Kendall's potty training before I had done all my homework. I realize now that she isn't quite ready for it. Yes, she is incredibly smart and fully capable... but she's not WANTING to do it. I don't want to force her strictly because culturally most girls are potty trained by two... My sweet girl is her own self and until she is ready I wont be forcing her.
I did take some pictures throughout the day and even looking back on them now I feel bad for trying to do something she didn't want to do. Although I have a cute picture of her sitting on her little potty chair, she was hating it.
It was a fight to get her to stay on it. While she did go a couple times in her potty, it wasn't fun for her. She liked the praise, but not enough to want to really try again after the moment had passed.
I made her this cute little chart to color in and we only got one more star before she didn't care too much anymore...
I'm not giving up, I'm just patiently waiting for my munchkin to be ready.
On a lighter note... Grant's little personality is blossoming!
Not only is he laughing all the time but he has even started to give me the 'stink eye'...
After the long ordeal yesterday my dear mother came by to help me out with putting the kids down. Oh what a great help! I opted to stay back and take a few pictures while my mom gave Kendall her bath...
I don't have too many pictures of my dear mom and I have to say that I love this one!
I obviously focused more on Kendall than myself yesterday... *sigh*
